Reading Group and Articles

Welcome to EAHR's Reading Group, a monthly initiative designed to bring together art history students and academics and allow them to share their interests with a community.

Meetings will be held on a monthly basis, starting up in October 2012.

    Dear EAHR members,****

    We are pleased to announce our first reading group meeting next Friday October, 12th from 6 to 7 pm in EV-3.736.

    Reading group texts will be selected on the basis of their appeal to our mandate. We hope these friendly meetings will foster lively conversations related to issues of Canadian visual art and its ethno-cultural communities. During this first meeting, we will examine the relationship between women artists of colour and arts institutions.

    Nous sommes heureux de vous annoncer la première rencontre de notre club de lecture qui aura lieu le vendredi 12 octobre de 6h à 7h pm dans le local EV-3.736.

    Les textes seront sélectionnés en rapport avec les intérêts de notre mandat. Nous espérons que ces rencontres amicales pourront encourager et
    nourrir des conversations vives concernant les problématiques retrouvées en l'artCanadien en relation avec nos praticiens issus de communautés ethnoculturelles. Durant cette première édition nous examinerons le lien qui subsiste entre le cadre dans lequel les femmes de couleurs pratiquent et les valeurs de nos institutions artistiques.
